Dr. K. Syamala Devi, working as Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences and Additional Controller of Examinations at G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (for Women), Shaikpet, Hyderabad, Telangana. She has been awarded Ph.D. degree in Solid Waste Management from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh in 2017, M.Phil., in 2006 and Masters in Environmental Science in 2003 from Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. She is the recipient of Prof. DVN Reddy Memorial Gold Medal for securing university first place at masters’ level and recipient of Prof. Chennaiah Gold Medal for securing highest marks among all science departments at masters’ level. She received 5 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 1 bronze in her career for both academics and co-curricular activities. She won the several prizes at state level in various categories such as Essay Writing, Elocution, Debate, Projects etc. She is the state level awardee of Essay Writing event conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Government under Janma Bhoomi Programme in 1998. She has 2 patents for her credit and she has published around 30 research papers at international and national journals and presented more than 15 papers at international and national conferences. She has published 7 chapters in Edited book. She has organized 3 national level workshops and conferences in the year 2019, 2020, 2022 respectively and conducted around 6 FDPs and 1 Hackathon at institutional level. She has attended more 100 seminars, workshops, conferences, FDPs, Orientation Programmes, refresher courses etc. She has acted as Discussion Forum Moderator for FDP 101X, 201X organized by IIT Bombay and Resource Person for 8 – weeks online MOOCs organized by DY Patil College of Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra. She has chaired sessions in EtV Nari-Bheri Program and conducted Heartful Mediation classes at institution. |
